Allison always wanted to further her education but when is the “right” time? There is no right time so she applied and started University of Lynchburg’s online program for her Masters in Nonprofit Leadership in September 2019 when her oldest child also started his Freshman year of college. They would be students together. Allison would take one course at a time (there are 10 courses in the program).
So far, Allison has completed two courses and this online portfolio is the final project for her third course.
In October 2020, Allison was laid off due to the Covid pandemic. She took this opportunity to keep pushing forward with grad school and to start her own freelance project management business (Beach Sisters LLC). Her freelance work has recently landed her a Director of Development role at an All Girls Catholic High School in South Jersey; close to home!
Allison is married to Jack and has four children; ages 20, 15, 14 and 12. Allison is a runner and has run a handful of 5k’s and 8 half marathons. Her first half marathon was in Walt Disney World, the day after she turned 40. Allison’s “free time” is spent on a football field, baseball field, basketball court or at a soccer field supporting her husband the Coach, 3 sons and daughter. Allison has been involved with many committees, boards and organizations in her small NJ town; a suburb of Philadelphia.
